Global Warming Discusson/Info Part II
I posted one article I found a few days ago on the issue of Global Warming. I found it on Digg.com and the article recieved plenty of heated comments from both sides.
I just discovered this article today from the folks over at BBC.com and it seems to offer a more balanced discussion of this “hot” topic of the day (pun intended). Reading the previous article and then looking at this article, it seems to me that balance is needed. As useful as sensationalism can be to getting “the word” out, I do see the danger of overselling something. We can of course thank our friends in the media who need to sensationalize things to the max to sell their wares.
Is global warming a problem? I’m no climatologist so I can’t really offer a qualified answer either way. But let’s all make sure we’re not overselling something just to score points. In the end, I think more can be done if we approach things from a reasonable and not a reactionary point of view.
