Taking Productivity and Workflow to the Desktop

by Jon Haarstad on August 1, 2008

I’m a self-avowed productivity junkie and I’ve been a fan of GTD ever since I read the book by David Allen. How much I apply in my daily life isn’t always as consistent as I would like and I have frequent lapses into “living in the urgent” – but that’s a personal matter that I have to keep working through.

I keep a printed copy of the GTD flow (if this doesn’t make sense to you – I suggest checking out the book) on the board behind my desk and it’s a great visual reminder of my desired information processing flow. Well, here’s another addition to my repertoire of reminders … some new computer desktops (go ahead, roll your eyes). If you’re on the GTD bandwagon, check out the following site for some simple and, for me, powerful reminders of how things should keep coming in and going out.
