Thoughts On a Friday

It’s looking like a summer of change ahead and while I’m excited about all the great things happening…it’s easy to become a little overwhelmed. There’s some great projects crossing my paths involved everything from music to web development to ministry to video work. It’s like “lions and tiger and bears…oh my” … but different in that I like all of these projects I’m doing and none of them are able to rip me apart.

Tomorrow is going to be a full day of music. Again, I’ll be taking a band (Tim, Tabor & Andrew to be specific) down to Hood River for a free outdoor music festival called Capture The Wind.

On the drive home tonight, I passed all the folks that are already lining up along the parade route for the Rose Parade tomorrow. There were tents, coolers, outdoor chairs…and the crazy people who think this is fun. I’ve done the parade thing…and never had the thought “gee, you know, it would be fun to spend all night along a downtown city street”. I like to think I’m a pretty fun guy…but this is one thing I don’t get. Camping in the great outdoors surrounded by trees = GREAT! Camping surrounded by cement, buzzing lights and the sound of cars whizzing by = not so great.

  1. Jonny boy!! I’d have to agree with you about the whole camping out down town thing. People are just insane. Any way, I think your hair is funny but I like your bangs!
    Good bye
